LO1 My program

My programme will be an interview with an artists from Doncaster known as 1Mawb, we will talk about his latest releases, his inspirations and where we will see him in the future, and  his  plans. It will be structured similar to BBC 1 xtra in the sense that It will be written very informal and will consist of a lot of relatable humour that can be enjoyed by our target audience.

LO1 Comparison of presentation style

Chris Moyles Radio X  In this radio interview Liam Gallagher is more dominating during the interview and he is given more time to answer his questions. It also feels more formal with the presenter talking very politely and calm. I think this radio station is targeted towards Millennials and younger adults who grew up listening Oasis and are now adults who have jobs. Oasis was a very popular band during the 90s and so to appeal to the millennial audience, they featured him on an interview and used language that was laid back and easy to understand.  Charlie sloth from BBC 1 extra In this interview, Charlie Sloth is trying to appeal to a young teen audience by being loud, energetic and dominating during the interview. This is to capture the attention of the audience and make sure they do not get bored. This is because the attention span in young audiences is very fast and they can become bored very easily. Also, the dialect and language he uses is similar to what young teens in ...

P1 An example of a National commercial radio station would be Absolute radio, Absolute radio 80s, and Absolute radio 90s, owned by Bauer Media Group. These radio stations obtain funding via adverts and sponsors from other conglomerate companies. Each station plays contemporary music from specific genres of music from different eras, each station appeals to its own niche and uses targeted ads to market directly to their target audience. Absolute radio plays Adult-orientated pop/rock Music which appeals to a niche group of people who like that genre, and rather listen to this than contemporary pop music from the present day. The BBC is a non-profit organisation, this means that their radio stations receives budget from the government. They are not allowed to play adverts or sponsor certain products because they obtain their funding from the public taxes (tele licence). He is very dominating in the interviews and pushes the interviewee to answer his questions Radio BBC 1  the news is told with upbeat music playing in the background and has high energy . The news was told quite fast and given in concise parts.
